DIFFRACTIVE DESCRIPTION OF NUCLEAR COLLISIONS

Abstract

Diffractive nature of interaction of high energy neutrons with atomic nucleus was studied.  It was shown that the obtained data can be used as a sensitive test of modern nuclear models and provide an opportunity  not only to refine the traditional understanding of the nucleus, but also to identify the role of nucleon  degrees of freedom in nuclear matter.
