Abstract

An important and interesting task of the theory of the nucleus is to describe the collective modes nucleon systems by fermion degrees of freedom in them. But the exact shell-model explanation of their nature remains very an intricate problem. Therefore it is necessary to use some methods of circumcision such a huge space so that calculations within the cropped area became comfortable and at the same time realistic. In this work we applied SD nucleon-pair shell model to the real rotational nuclei, in particular to the two isotopes of ytterbium and erbium: 162Er, 164Yb. The calculated spectra of the main and b–, g–  rotational bands are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental values of parameters. We used the wave functions to calculate the value of probability E2 - transitions between states.
