STRUCTURE-PHASE TRANSFORMATIONS IN NI-CR BASE COATINGS DEPOSITED BY PLASMA DETONATION METHOD ON STEEL 3 SUBSTRATE AFTER THEIR MODIFICATION BY ELECTRONIC IRRADIATION
Keywords:
steel substrateAbstract
This paper discusses some issues of modification by electronic irradiation of the structure and mechanical properties of Ni-Cr base coatings deposited by a plasma jet onto the steel substrate. The main methods of structure investigation used are: metallography, topography by atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersion analysis (EDS), Electron Spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis (ESCA), X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction Analysis (XRD), microhardness measurement and corrosion tests. It was found that mechanical properties of the coatings correlate to their structure-phase state. The mechanical characteristics of the coatings improved after their modification by means of electronic beam irradiation. The paper indicates the areas of prospective industrial application of the coatings treated according to the stated technology.Downloads
