Abstract

Problem of the quasistationary distribution of mass density of ternary gas mixtures in a vertical cylindrical channel is considered. It is shown, that the exponential term in the expression for the distribution of component concentration along channel length at sufficiently large values of the heavy component concentration leads to the essential nonlinearity in the density distribution along channel length that determines the possibility of inversion of the density gradient. Calculation of the density distribution inside channel for some mixtures containing hydrocarbons, where the convection occurrence has been shown, is given.
