The date of the celebration was not chosen randomly.

This day is associated with the birthday of the person who stood at the origins of the organization of scientific activity in Kazakhstan. It is about academician KI Satpayev. K.I. Satbayev the first President of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, who headed it in 1946.

This man has devoted almost all his life to science and its development in his native Republic. The celebration of the Day of Science Workers in Kazakhstan was timed to coincide with his birthday.
