Abstract

The distribution of the electric field and other plasma parameters in the discharge tube by means of a self-consistent solution of problems of electron kinetics (Boltzmann equation for the EDF), the equations of motion of the ions in the drift-diffusion approximation and the Poisson equation for the distribution of the electric field are investigated. Axial and radial dependence of plasma parameters in a gas mixture of argon and hydrogen are obtained.
