Abstract

The investigation of the collective excitations in strongly coupled, two dimensional plasma is performed by molecular dynamics method. One component nonideal plasma with screened Coulomb interparticle interaction potential is considered. It is shown that in strongly coupled plasma quasi acoustic mode reproduces. The group velocity on the edge of the Brilliuen zone approaches to the zero. Long wave length limit is sound wave and short wave length limit is plasma oscillations.
