Information For Authors

Submissions to the journal are made using Open Journal System, the online submission and peer review system. 

The article is submitted in electronic format (in the formats .doc, .docx) only by downloading it through the functionality of the journal's website (Open Journal System).

The author for correspondence is obliged to provide a cover letter for publication in the journal.

Submission procedure and requirements for article formatting (use the TEMPLATE to format the article):

For publication, a previously unpublished by the author (s) material is accepted that corresponds to the profile of the journal/journal series in Kazakh, English or Russian.

All articles are subject to mandatory reviewing, literary and technical editing. Additional selection of reviewers, provision of objective and timely reviewing is carried out by the Editorial Board. The editorial board of the journal determines the correspondence of the article to the profile of the Journal, the requirements for registration and sends it for review to a specialist (independent expert).  The review is carried out confidentially.

At the discretion of the editorial board, authors may be requested to suggest potential reviewers relevant to the subject of the submitted manuscript. Such suggestions are advisory in nature and do not guarantee the involvement of the proposed reviewers. The final decision on reviewer selection rests solely with the editorial board.

The most important criteria for evaluating an article are: the relevance of the chosen topic and the problem posed; the novelty of the material presented, the author's personal contribution to the problem under study; the correctness of the terminological apparatus, citation, the reliability of the facts; use of modern sources and scientific methods; theoretical or applied significance of the research; validity of scientific findings; consistency, accessibility of presentation; compliance with the requirements for the design of articles.

If the article does not meet the requirements, the editorial board has the right to reject it. 

Mandatory requirements for manuscript formatting:

  1. Place the IRSTI in the top-left corner.

  2. One single line below — list authors’ initials and surnames in bold. Include full names of organizations, cities, countries where the work was performed, e-mail of one author.

  3. One line below — full title of the manuscript in bold.

  4. One line below — abstract (150–250 words). The abstract must outline the general scope of the manuscript, summarize key results, and be self-contained; references to literature or any sections of the manuscript are not allowed.

  5. Include Keywords 6-8 words relevant to the manuscript.

If the manuscript is in English, repeat items 2–5 in Kazakh and Russian. For manuscripts submitted by foreign authors, the preparation of Kazakh and Russian metadata is not required. The editorial board will provide professionally verified translations.

  1. Main text: Times New Roman, size 11, single-spaced, one column per page, margins 2 cm on all sides.

  2. Manuscript structure must follow IMRAD: Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods (or Research Methodology), Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, References.

  3. References in the text should be in square brackets [1].

  4. Equations should be prepared in a formula editor (Microsoft Equation, MathType). Figures and tables should be numbered in the order they appear in the text. Tables must have titles and notes if necessary.

  5. References must be formatted according to APS (American Physical Society) style, fully corresponding to citations in the text and including only mentioned sources. A Template example is provided. References must include at least 25 scientific articles, of which 70% should be English, published in the last 7 years.

A separate Cover Letter must include authors’ information: full name, affiliation, position, academic degree, title, city, country, e-mail, and ORCID.

Publication fee: 60,000 ₸ (There is no fee for authors from outside Kazakhstan.)
